Our Mission
Heal DMD is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting healing and well-being for individuals with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and their families. Our organization recognizes that healing is not only about treating physical disease, but also about addressing the emotional and social challenges that come when living with a devastating illness.
We are fighting to make a difference by funding critical research and providing much-needed resources to families affected by this devastating condition.
What We Do
Fund Research
The majority of funds go toward promising gene therapy research and other therapeutics that can significantly change the course of DMD and find a cure.
Support Families
We provide direct benevolent assistance — wheelchair-accessible vans, Hoyer lifts, in-home ramps, medical travel expenses, and other critical needs not covered by insurance.
Our Commitment to Transparency
Heal DMD is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 92-2757865), recognized by the IRS since April 2023. Our volunteer board serves without compensation — meaning 100% of your donation goes directly to our mission.
